hi i just had my iphone jailbreak from redsnow 0.8 but i have the OS 3.0 i just doing to check how it works you said that jailbreak with the OS 3.1.2 but im lookin my iphone in the recovery mode and dont change but the blackra1n say is still running ill wait..

i think this post need more info man to know what really does this program and we have to do because i dont know if im making right..

i have a iphone 3g and doesnt work for me i have tries like 50 times hope that team dev goes out soon the realese of redsn0w this one dont work so dont try..

i had also try how some guys said in youtube run in local disk like admin and doesnt work.. dont do it.. i just lost my last jailbroken i have to get back again..

I am updating the post again after I got a chance to try this on my friend’s iPhone 3G. My observations were similar to yours.

Ok man please try in a iphone if you get with the solution post it.. please i would like to have that new firmware jailbroken in my iphone 3g i have chekin on the web and somes said that i have to make from the local disk but doesnt work for me.. also i close everyting firewall antivirus check all process to be none apple are runnig and still not working.. ill wait for the solution or a new program to jailbreak.. thx..

Hey everyone with a 16GB 3G 3.1.2 having problems with Geo not showing up listen. I have been doing this for 6 hours today and finally got it to work by repeating this a bunch of times.

So, I just Jailbroke my Iphone 3.1.2 16GB 3G. What I did was actually told to me by Ikheafe so thanks to him.

Plug up your iPhone
Close iTunes
Turn your Iphone 3g OFF
Run BlackRa1n
click make it ra1n
Hold down power and home
As soon as you see the Apple logo release power BUT HOLD HOME for at least 20 seconds

Do not release home earlier than 20 seconds or until you see GeoHot appear on your Iphone.

(If this doesn’t work then try again, hold down the power and home until your phone shuts off. Close BlackRa1n and try again. As they say rinse, wash, repeat.)

Once you’ve done that, you should have a pop-up on your computer saying Jailbreak is done. Wait for the phone to reboot. Once the phone reboots you will see Blackra1n icon on your phone.

i just did the jailbreak with blackra1n and works so perfect just has to do is to install a really restore firmware in the itunes but make sure that after you did the itunes dont sincronize anyfile that u have there if u have files delete or install the itunes in a other pc if u do this when u install the new firmware goin to lose all file in the iphone make really sure like this.. the iphone get a really clear firmware and then just do it the blackra1n normal just click and thats it.. i didnt work for me before because i was doing this in my computer and there i have all my music and ringtones all videos and apps in the itunes and always when i did the restore always something get sincronize so i did it in the lapto of my father is running a vista 64bit and install the itunes again like new get the firmware downloaded and click in restore and dont save anything and the do it like new iphone when it finish i was follow this intruction from youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8UYSfPEKnQ

hi again i have already jailbroken my iphone 3g with blackra1n im now in the firmware 3.1.2 but i install Cydia, Rock and Icy just for see what is the differences i dont know because this is my firt time with iphone well.. Im havin troubles with winterboard i downloaded my thems but when i say to winterboard to put the theme when it restarted the board it doesnt appear the theme still in the normal theme i dont know is it has to do because i install this 3 app Cydia, Rock and Icy or what it is? or is that this jailbreak has problems with this apps?? and also the Cydelete doesnt work too..

I just fix it i cant install the 3 apps choose only one off couse i installed Cydia for me is the best.. and work perfect all apps i had tested are workin perfect.. i also i made the jailbreak the same way like before restoring a new clear firmware but i has to be really clear.. dont allow to itunes sicronze anything if it does i dont work that u erase that you have make the restore again and be sure again that the itunes dont sincronize anything.. i suggest that install a new itunes with out having sincronize anything no music no tones no apps no pictures when i say anything its ANYTHING.. and im 100% sure if you have a iphone 3G your device can be jailbreak in an easy way.. dont have to do any processin close any run like an admin none of that.. just downloaded the blackra1n in the Desktop and just clicked it and then make it rain… and also dont have to be the iphone turned off.. so i hope it works for you like did to me… so do it just like i said if dont work please writte in the post ill be chakin and help you..

TiLT, thanks, just need to add that after iphone restarted in recovery mode (when you see GeoHot) iTunes will start and says that you need to restore your iphone, DON’T DO IT. Just wait until the iphone is ready to use.

The best solution that worked for me after a few failed attempts at installing black rain.

FYI: The iPhone was not previously Jailbroken.

1. Open iTuens and sync all your apps and data. so you don’t lost it fool

2. Restore the iPhone to factory settings with the most recent OS update. in this case 3.1.2

3. After it is done being restored close itunes.

4. Run black rain. It should work fine. Let it do its thing and load and stuff and your phone should reboot with a black rain icon on it somewhere. Close iTunes if it ever pops up during installation.

5. Enjoy.

I am using a different sim, and stuck with the Invalid sim with the usb and itunes in the screen after I restore it to factory setting and installed the latest os version(3.1.2), I totally can’t do anything with my iphone. I don’t know what to now, even using blackra1n my iphone just keeps hanging in installation

Ok so im having a small issue with blackr4in on an iphone 3gs running 3.1.2. Here it is:

The phone is jailbroken and running fine, but every time I power off the phone, it restarts in recovery mode even when not hooked up via usb. When I hook it up & run blackr4in again, it gets it past the recovery mode & into the phone, but this is the only way.

After installing cydia i deleted blackr4in. Could this be why? I’m not sure, but I don’t think so.

Is there a fix for this? Any help would be appreciated.

Worked perfect, under a minute, after reading some of the issues people had. It sure is hit or miss, anyway — worked perfect for me.
