When I first read the app description my first thought was: "Wow! This is indeed something new!"
And I was right,because the effects that 3D Photo offers are unique and wonderful!
When you first run the app, after the splash screen,you get live feed from your camera in a 3D shape. If you want to use a previously taken photo,just press the bottom-right button and choose your photo form the library.
The 3D shape can be moved by touching and dragging,on all directions and you get beautiful variations of the effect.
Pressing the left-right arrows,you can cycle through the 15 effects that the app offers. When you’re satisfied with the effect you press the camera button the image is saved it to the in-app 3D gallery, and you are directed there.
From here you can go back to the the 3D gallery(1st button),cycle through your saved images (2nd & 3rd button), you can share the image(4th button) and you can delete the image(5th button).
The share options you get are:
When you share your creation you can go back to your gallery and view all your saved images.
A nice feature is that when you tap on an image to view,you can still moved it around and save it
with a different angle!
Overall a great application that offers unique and interesting effects to add to your photos.
The only thing that disappointed me was the saved image resolution that for iPhone 3GS is 320×480
and for iPhone 4 is 640×960.Full resolution or at least 1-2MP would be welcome in a future update.
The application only available for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPod touch (4th generation) and requires iOS 4.0 or later.
