Ever wanted a task or activity monitor for your iPhone, iPod Touch or Apple iPad?
Activity Monitor Touch is a beautiful Universal app that gives all nitty gritty details about the inner workings of your iDevice.
The app has four sections and each give you neat views about your iPhone.
Information tab
This is the default tab you land when opening the App – it is worth it just to get the UDID of your iDevice without connecting to iTunes. This UDID is necessary if you ever beta test apps. The app lets you email this out easily. It also shows other info about the iDevice – OS, model, processors, memory, capacity, free memory, free space, etc.
Usage tab
The usage tab shows nice visualization of memory – wired, active, inactive and free. It also shows free disk space but doesn’t split it up like iTunes does. It also shows a nice graph of CPU activity.
Battery tab
This is ranother useful feature. It shows your battery level and breaks it down and andwers questions like how long will it last if I am on 3G vs WiFi, how long can you listen to songs or play videos, read books, use Facetime, etc.
Process tab
I don’t use this tab much as it just shows a list of running processes and their pids and priority. It doesn’t actually show like which process is consuming the most memory/cpu like a traditional activity monitor. It could be useful for iOS developers though.
Activity Monitor Touch is a very useful and neatly crafted app. It was selling for $2.99 last month and was down to $0.99 as of last week.
It has been on sale for FREE this past weekend (we tweeted about it @TopiPhone). I am not sure how long it will be free so I’d hurry If i were you.
