Wow! This is a fantastic milestone for Apple’s AppStore. They have reached 2 billion downloads!
Anytime a friend interested in buying an iPhone asks me whats so great about it, I answer – the App Store. iPhone has become a powerful tool for every consumer because of the sheer insane number of apps available to do anything. 85,000 apps at last count by Apple.
Apple just announced that they have reached 2 Billion app downloads.
Apple® today announced that more than two billion apps have been downloaded from its revolutionary App Store, the largest applications store in the world. There are now more than 85,000 apps available to the more than 50 million iPhone™ and iPod touch® customers worldwide and over 125,000 developers in Apple’s iPhone Developer Program.
This is incredible considering they reached 1 billion downloads in April and 1.5 billion downloads in July and its not even October yet. The pace at which daily app downloads are increasing is simply staggering and attests to the power of apps for iPhone.
We are really proud to be part of this ecosystem and will striveto bring out some of the best and useful apps from the 85,000 apps in App Store for you.
