If you are a jailbreaker, you probably go through restore to factory settings for one reason or the other. While you can backup your apps, contacts, etc and restore them, you will lose your app settings. For example, your iPhone game high scores, login settings, configurations, etc.
You need a jailbroken iPhone to backup all your AppStore app settings with this app.
How to backup iPhone App Settings?
- Go to Cydia
- Install AppBackup
- Launch AppBackup app and select all or just the apps you want to backup
- Hit backup
That’s it! Oh wait, there is one more step. You have to backup the backups.
The backups are stored in /var/mobile/Library/AppBackup/tarballs in files called <app-identifier>.tar.gz.
So, use an iPhone file browser or SSH to copy the entire /var/mobile/Library/AppBackup directory.
How to Restore App Settings?
- Launch AppBackup
- Select the apps you want to restore
- Hit restore
