You can get daily deals Monday through Friday but a lot of these offers are only available in limited quantities and can even last just seconds. On some days, there will be several Overwhelming Offers to choose from. You get to reserve any item you like from the offers and then you can use the reservation number to purchase it in the end.

This iPhone app has also added iPad support now. If you are a Mastercard user, keep this app in your iPhone and you might be able to score some sweet deals.

Behr has an iPhone app called ColorSmart – same as the virtual color tool they have online. Only nicer and very intuitive to use.

On launching the ColorSmart app, you are greeted with a color palette. You can start with a color family you want like brown, green, blue, red, orange or whites. If you already know of a color name or number you can search for it too.

Since we already had a few colors picked out from the Behr.com website, we used this option quite a bit. Once you find a color you like, you can apply this on a room and preview. They have quite a few styles of rooms and types of rooms. Changing color in a room is as simple as tapping the wall.

If you like a color, just tap the right top button to add it to your favorites.

Even though the app has 5 tabs at the bottom, the preview screen is tied into pretty much every other tab making it really seamless to preview colors no matter where you started.

When you are looking at a color, you can also get designer-coordinated color combinations.

Another cool feature is you can take a picture of any room and get a color match from Behr’s collection. This is very useful if you want to capture colors as you are going about with your life.

Once you are close to making your choices, you can use the paint calculator to find out how much paint you will need for the project. You can also find a nearby store to buy paint right from the app.

The favorites tab I mentioned is not just for saving colors, you can save room images with the colors you applied, palettes, calculations, store locations, etc.

The app also tries to be a bit social so you can share your room or color ideas in Facebook.

The one feature I’d really love to see in this app is the ability to upload my own picture and apply paint colors. Also, an iPad app would be terrific for this as the extra screen real estate would make looking at rooms so much better.

This app is more than just a fun past time if used to its full potential. During your first encounter with this app you create a profile of location, gender, age, etc. this is used for statistics when answering the poll questions, the polling is anonymous. That’s it, you’re ready to start answering the ever growing list of poll questions. However that’s only where the fun begins. After you answer a question, you can see the poll results on a national map, with color coded yes/no/tied states opinions. You can also view your states statistics, or by gender and political association. (Note: I am unsure if you can use this app correctly out of the United States, as you need a ZIP code)

After all that is said and done, you can use the topics of the polls to start conversations with people, have a debate with a friend, or have a discussion with your family. As with most apps out there, it integrates with facebook. You can also submit questions to be included in the polling! Do you have this app yet? You should!
As an added bonus, you can view the contact information for political office holders in your area. Websites, phone numbers, and even Twitter names.

Show of Hands has an easy to use interface and I really like the idea of this app. It would be even better if you could see the results of other states (possibly via drop down list selection). Another thing that would make it even better is more users. As I went over the questions currently available to answer, there seems to be only about 1500 – 2300 results per topic. Another thing that might be fun is a place to debate the topics of the polls, like a forum. However on second thought, seeing as politics are involved, that may not be such a good idea.

You can just scan a barcode of any item and Amazon app instantly scans its entire catalog. Yes, it’s entire catalog and we how big that is!

This feature is available only to iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS running on iOS 4.

There are many awesome barcode scanner apps around like RedLaser iPhone app but I use Amazon way more often and it is handy to have a scanner right there. Especially while walking around stores wondering if Amazon has it for a lower price.

Amazon Remembers

Also, there is an experimental feature in the Amazon mobile app and I am not sure how long this has been in it although I found a picture I took back in December.

With Amazon Remembers, you can take a picture of an item in your possession and send it to Amazon. Amazon will compare the product with all their product images and try to come up with a match. This is done with automated recognition software as well as real people.

As this Lifehacker post points out, this could be used to create a quick home inventory of items we own. And that could come in very handy in times of insurance claims.

As Amazon identifies the items you throw at it, it also adds a nice link to items you can replace it with including the cost.

Fortunately there is a fix for this!  Even more exciting is its not even for jailbreakers only, which you would probably suspect with this kind of app.  Thats right readers, its available via the Apple app store, and for FREE!  Pixelpipe can upload HD video.

Did I say upload?  I mean, you can add video to just about anywhere that will accept video.  I dont have enough space or even time to list all the places that you can upload your video to, but most: email, video hosts, blogs, social networking sites…  I dont even recognize all the places on the upload list.

A word of caution for those of you without unlimited plans.  HD video, due to its higher quality, is also a larger file.  So if you have limited data left on your plan, make sure you are on wifi before uploading long HD clips.  Pixelpipe allows for uploads up to 225MB.  I even made you guys a sample of the difference between an iPhone 4 standard upload, and an upload via Pixelpipe.  There are a lot of other things you can do with this app, like take a picture and post it to mutiple feeds at one time (like facebook and twitter).

You will love this free app I have found for the bargain hunter in your – Craigsphone.

Craigsphone – craigslist for iPhone is a simple & free iPhone app that brings Craigslist listings to your palm of your hand.

As soon as you load the app, it automatically looks up your location and brings up a Google-sque search box with a category selection – community, events, gigs, housing, jobs, personals, resumes, for sale, services.

The bottom pane also has the Browse, Post, Featured & Account tabs.

Whether you search or browse for listings it is easy to go back and forth between lists and individual posts. I like it that I can bookmark the postings I like to view later.

I can also use the app to create a Craigslist posting right from my iPhone. I can also featured listings and access my account settings.

Here are a few features you can expect to see in this app

• A nice useable mobile UI
• Ability to post images from your camera or gallery
• Maps for housing section
• Nearby postings
• Craigslist forums & blog

I like the ease of use in this elegant and simple iPhone app and might actually make me browse and use Craigslist more. I would love to see the Map view for few more sections other than Housing like Garage Sale, etc.

If this quote from the app description is any indication, this app is going to get even better.

But the best will come when we take the best local site in the world and make it truly local. Stay tuned.

It’s no secret Pizza Hut has an iPhone app to look up their menu and even place an order with your iPhone.
