Facebook has had another surprise up their sleeve and is just out.

Facebook Messenger iPhone Pp has hit the App Store.

With this app you can message your Facebook friends as well as your iPhone contacts with this app.

Check it out. In fact, I am hearing that this app has hidden video chat capabilities that could be enabled in a future update.

Also, we were privy to the Infinity Blade game trailer.

Finally, Epic Games has released the much awaited game – Infinity Blade as a universal app for $5.99. The game will play on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch and Apple iPad. (no love for iPhone 3G)

The game is optimized for iPhone 4.

The game play goes like this. You fight the God King by travelling through the Dark Citadel fighting his titans until face the tyrant.

As you might have noticed in the Epic Citadel trailer, the 3D environment is mind blowing. Once you get to fight the God King, you might fail the first time.

Here is the twist. Once you fail, the gameplay forwards to the future where your son returns to the citadel to fight the tyrant again. And it could even span generations even though you get to accumulate stats from the previous generation.

Infinity Blade looks plain stunning on an iPhone 4 and I can’t wait to try it on the iPad as well. The game comes with Game Center support and could add multiplayer mode in a future update.

With Color Drop iPhone app, you can capture those with your iPhone camera and use a color dropper to find out and save the color you found.

After loading the color from your gallery or directly from the camera, you can also modify the color. You can view the color in hex (web), RGB, CMYK formats. ColorDrop can be a very useful tool for web designer, interior decorators or graphic designers.

Colordrop will set you back $0.99 but if you deal with colors everyday and like to get inspired by everyday things, you could use your iPhone to capture the colors that fancy your imagination.

I understand it is one of those app that does just one thing but it does it well. Until a major app like PhotoShop Mobile adds this feature to their app, then people wouldn’t pay $0.99 to purchase this.

HBO has just joined the fray with their HBO Go iPad app.

The app itself is free and depending on your HBO subscription through participating television providers, you can access tons of free HBO content through the app.

Podcaster app just got a nice update in version 3.9. This update brings support for AirPlay for iOS 4.3 and new gestures on playing screen.

It is now easy to swipe left to ski[ back and swipe right to skip forward and swipe up to see enhanced podcasts chapter menu. Here is the complete list of new features and enhancements in this app update.

New Features in 3.9

• AirPlay for iOS 4.3
• Chapter support for enhanced podcasts
• German translation
• New gestures on now playing screen. Swipe left over image to skip backwards, swipe right to skip forward, double tap to play/pause, swipe up on enhanced podcasts to see chapter menu.

StarWalk is going to keep you looking at the sky even more with its elegant visual stars gazing iPhone app making Astronomy fun and easy for everyone.

You can discover all stars, planets, constellations and learn more about them. StarWalk features some amazing graphics and has information for over 9000 celestial objects.

StarWalk’s one of the most interesting features is the Picture of the Day. Clicking on the excalamtion mark brings out a slew of pictures and you can tap on the –i- sign to learn more about the picture. The picture selection is excellent and the latest version sends you a Push notification whenever there is a new picture.

Time Machine feature takes your sky to how it will look tonight or in a year’s time.

You can see current Moon Phase or take you through Moon Phases as you move through time using the clock icon.

As a 3GS user, this is the feature I am most excited about. iPhone 3GS’ Digital Compass lets you point your iPhone in a direction and see the sky representation in your iPhone as you see in reality. SkyWalk uses your Digital Compass reading to learn which way you are looking and then you can move up, down, left or right to change your iPhone sky view.

As a very very amateur astronomer this App makes it incredibly useful to show off. I mean, makes it easy to learn something new about the sky I am looking at.

Plus, you can always click on the –w- icon to see the Wikipedia information on an object.

If all that is not enough, you also get to save your favorites, change to night mode, select brightness (very useful), turn on/off sound, etc via Settings.

SkyWalk gets a really high mark for the awesome graphics and the integration with the 3GS Digital Compass. Plus, the matrix like green display and sounds and the red infra-red like night vision are just plain cool.

For me, Skywalk has to be the #1 star gazing iPhone App I have come across. If you have an interest in Astronomy, I don’t think you will be disappointed with the $4.99 your wallet will lose.

There are many fliight tracker iPhone apps available. We are going to look at Flight today.

Flight iPhone app by NibiruTech offers a simple interface to look up flights by Route or Flight info.

If you knew the Flight number and destination, you can easily find the flight by entering that detail. If you didn’t know the flight info, you could find flights for the known departure and arrival locations.

Once you have found your flight, you can see departure time, arrival time, flight status, terminal the flight is at, and a location in a map. You also get to see the weather at departure and arrival locations.

Flight is usually available at $4.99 in App Store but it is FREE today (July 20, 2009). I grabbed it as it was free today but for $4.99 I might be looking for a more full featured app.

The most recent Fring iPhone app update has brought support for video calls over 3G.

We can now make Fring calls over WiFi and 3G including video calls. This is great news for iPhone 4 owners as this lifts the WiFi only restriction imposed by Apple’s FaceTime.

Also FaceTime can only be used between 2 iPhone 4′s. With Fring iPhone app you can video conference with anyone with a video camera including iPhone 3GS and 3G as well as non-Apple phones like Nexus One, Droid, etc.

New in this version

- Two way video on iPhone iOS4 over wifi and 3G.
- Multitasking means you are always on and available to your friends
- New social stream means you can see and interact with your Twitter, Facebook, etc.
- A better Address Book with contact management.
