iPhone Tip: List a Contact by Company Name

iPhone Life is a great iPhone related news and information magazine I follow pretty closely. Recently, I came across a tip there that I thought might be useful to some of my readers here.

You might have sometimes wanted the Company name in a contact to show up instead of a person’s name. It is possible to do it.

iPhone Tip: List a Contact by Company Name

Here’s how:

  • Add a new contact
  • Leave the first and last name blank and add a Company name
  • Save it
  • Now go back to the contact and Edit
  • Add first & last name
  • Save again

Now, the entry is going to be saved and identified by the company name.

Did you also know that you could change the sort order of your iPhone contacts by going to Settings –> Mail, Contacts, Calendar, scroll down to Contacts – Sort Order, Display Order to sort it by First, Last or Last, First via iPhone Life.

Let us know if this worked for you in the comments.
