We Doodle needs no introduction if you have played Pictionary. Ngmoco has brought an online multiplayer version of this drawing game for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The app is free and needs iOS 4 and designed to work on all devices.
We Doodle is a turn-based game. The game play is for a player to draw the word they were given and the other players to guess the word. You could invite your own friends to play with them. Or you could just go online and play with strangers.
When it’s your turn you start with minimal sketch tools to start with. But, as you score you level up and unlock better art tools. You can also spend some money and shop for stencils, brushes and new canvas backgrounds to customize your doodles.
Also you gain coins as you guess correctly. You can spend the coins to see more hints than others.
It has support for 7 languages, 5 drawing tools and 9 colors to choose from.
The game is ad supported. In fact to the point of a bit annoying. While I was playing a Live Match, I was seeing ads after making every guess and before the next round started.
In the live round, I think there is a bit of time before someone accepts to draw a word and they are probably using that time to display an ad but to me it feels like I was forced to watch an ad while I could be playing.
It could use some change there. Also, they could probably provide an in-app purchase to remove ads and enjoy this awesome game.
I haven’t tried this on the iPad yet but I bet it would be a joy to use in the bigger screen.
If you are a fan of Pictionary or just doodling, We Doodle is a must try.
