Google Mobile iPhone app has a new name!
Google Search.
Google has completely redesigned their search iPhone app with new UI and improved search capabilities. The new UI makes full use of iOS interface using swipe gestures to control various things.
When browsing through search results or looking at a websearch, you can swipe down to see the search bar or change settings. There is also a new toolbar at the bottom to give access to other Google apps.
Another new toolbar popus when you swipe from left corner of the screen. This lets you quickly filter your search by swiping left to right.
A brand new feature to remember where you left off is also nicely implemented. When you open the app, you can tap the search box, mic or camera to perform a new search. To get back to the same result you had before, just tap the box on the lower bottom.
I really like this updated version of Google Search iPhone app and this might be the first Google app that actually has some eye candy to it.
