Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2010 introduced a lot of innovations. One of them was announced by the manufacturer of photo and video accessories – The Tiffen Company.
Steadicam Smoothee is not a flavored drink but an image stabilizer designed exclusively for the iPhone 3GS. It is designed so that you can get your videography without the shake introduced when you shoot it handheld.
The lightweight, agile and easy to use Smoothee features a patented design built around a durable mono-frame metal structure measuring 8”W x 14.5”H x 2.5” D in operating configuration. It has a quick release iPhone 3GS mount that lets you use it handheld or also as a tabletop stand. The Steadicam Smoothee can also be mounted on any tripod with a standard 1/4 x 20” camera mount. The ergonomic hand mount it has folds up when not in use and the whole thing is made to collapse into a compact form for portability.
As you can see in this picture, this thing is definitely bigger than your iPhone 3GS. But, it looks like a promising solution for those who do a lot of videos with the able iPhone 3GS video camera but hate the handheld ‘home movie’ feel to the videos.

Steadycam Smoothee also will have mounts for iPhone 3GS, Droid and Flip cams.
No word on release date or a price for it yet.
