p0sixninja, the iPhone dev working on the latest Greenpois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, Apple iPad and iPod Touch 4G tweeted saying the jailbreak is to be released on the auspicious day of 10.10.10 – this sunday at 10:10 AM GMT.
Things have progressed to the point where we don’t expect anymore roadblocks. ETA for greenpois0n is 10/10/10 at 10:10:10AM { .. }
For those waiting for iOS 4.1 jailbreak (including myself), this is great news!
But there is some truth in @chpwn’s tweet
Please note that an ETA is, by definition, an estimate. There may still be delays, although we will try for there not to be any. { .. }
Here are a few important tweets I came across that clues us in on the details.. all of it coming from tweets by the iPhone jailbreak crew.

SHAtter is yet another breed of exploit. Bootrom-based but requires userland "assistance" for untethered boots (@comex did this for 4.1) { .. }

So, there you have it folks! It’s great news for the 4th gen device owners. That includes iPhone 4, Apple iPad and iPod Touch 4G. If you want to unlock, make sure you save your SHSH blobs at baseband 01.59.
