We have all been waiting with bated breath for an iPad 2 jailbreak. Comex one of the jailbreak developers made popular by his easy to use jailbreakme tool sent a tweet that has this rumor mill churning again.
Comex had made it public that he is working on the iPad 2 jailbreak for a while now but never gave out sepecific release dates.
However, App Advice reports that a tweet, that has been deleted now, sent by Comex led to the following image. It has today’s date 6/17/11 and 6:17:11 PM GMT prominently. What’s interesting is that the line under the date is not actually a line. It is the word iPd2jailbrokenforlife repeating itself over and over again.
Now, we have no idea why the tweet was deleted. Was Comex not able to meet the deadline he set himself? Or did he just want the mystery to continue and still surprise us at the time specified in the now deleted tweet.
In fact, I wouldn’t be totally surprised if this were a hoax and neither should you.
iPad 2 jailbreak will bring joy to many of the jailbreak fans. I personally can’t wait for it especially to use tweaks like RemoveBG, SBSettings on my iPad 2.
With the iPhone 5 release date and iPad 3 being talked about, it will make my day just to see the iPad 2 jailbreak download link.
