iPhone Tip: How to Search for Words on Websites in Safari?

Works on iOS 4.2+

Starting from iOS 4.2+, Apple has made it really easy to search for words on webpages in Mobile Safari. Here’s how

  • While on the webpage you want to search for a word on, type the search term in the Mobile Safari search box

  • Don’t hit Search yet
  • Look at the search suggestions and at the bottom you will find a ‘On This Page (2 matches)‘ section.
  • Scroll down and tap Find “your search term” option.
  • Now you can scroll through all the matches found on the page you were on.
