An iPhone security app called Big Brother Camera Security by developer Daniel Amitay works by capturing a picture of anyone who enters the wrong passcode when unlocking the device.
The app also tracks passcodes, anonymously for statistics, used in iPhones having this app installed.
Amitay has written a blog post with the top 10 most used iPhone passcodes.
Can you guess the most used one? You guessed it! It is 1234!!!
1234 is followed by 0000. If you have one of these passcodes set on your iPhone, for heaven’s sake, please change it now.
You can also see why some of these other obscure looking numbers are commonly used. Also, here is an interesting tidbit from his data, most people tend to use a passcode in this decade meaning, a birth year, graduation year, etc.
If you care about your iPhone security, please please pay attention to what you set as the passcode in case you lose it or someone else gets their hands on it.
