Obama’s campaign is known for it’s embracing the latest technology in their campaign. They have raised record contributions from their website. They have a twitter account!They have made good use of YouTube videos.

Now, they have just taken it to the next level and have released an iPhone AppStore app – Obama for America! It is made as an recruiting and campaign tool.

Here are some of the things it’s capable of:

• organize and prioritize your contacts by key battleground states
• reports back the number of calls (no private info just the numbers) anonymously
• get involved feature using the GPG location sensing to find closest Obama headquarters
• local events lists activities sorted by proximity
• media section with links to videos and photos

This is very interesting to look at how politicians are using the current technology these days.
