IPhone can be turned into a powerful handheld GPS Navigations apps like TomTom, CoPilot & Navigon iPhone apps. These incredible apps don’t even require a data connection to display maps and directions.
Some of these apps have gone on some huge sale this holiday season and it is a great time to scoop one of these.
I have listed apps that cover US & Canada only at the moment as some of these apps didn’t offer a sale on their other country counterparts.
TomTom U.S & Canada
TomTom usually sells for $99.99 and has dropped it’s price for TomTom US & Canada version to $69.99! And you can pick up just US version of TomTom USA for an incredible $49.99. Among these iPhone GPS navigation apps, CoPilot certainly offers the best bang for the buck. But, familiarity with a GPS until you already have might sway your decision.
I still think most of these high-end GPS apps are over priced. The Google Maps with voice navigation introduced with Motorola Droid should make an appearance on the iPhone in the near future. When that happens it will be interesting to see the pricing changes in this iPhone app category.
Until then, this is a great time to grab a GPS iPhone app and our choice recommendation is CoPilot.
