Warblade is an awesome arcade style shoot ‘em up in space game. Gameplay brings back memories from my childhood and playing Galaga. Who could put a price on a return to youth? (I realize I may be older than some readers and I’m sorry if you are not familiar with my ages old video game references.)

To start playing, add a name to the profiles section, which also helps you keep track of who has the high score on your device. There are 2 modes of play as follows.
Timetrial: in which you have 3 minutes to destroy as many aliens and collect as many points as you can.
Mission: in which you destroy the alien attackers on a per level basis. Scoring points and collecting cash and upgrade bonuses to upgrade your speed and weapons. Avoid the kamikaze aliens and their bullets coming your way to stay alive. If you grab certain bonuses, you will have bonus rounds where you try to avoid the incoming asteroids, and a ‘side game’ of Memory, where you match the symbols to earn a bonus.

In both play modes there are secret ‘locks’ which you can open that turn on extra features in the game.
There are 2 versions of this game. The Free version comes with 25 Mission levels and Timetrial with multiple levels. The Full version ($2.99) comes with 100 Mission levels and 16 extra Timetrial levels. The Full version also has Openfeint online leader boards and 50 Openfeint achievements.
This game is very well programmed with multiple ways to customize your controls. The graphics look great. The only problem I have with this game, and most games that I have played actually. Is that the hand positioning that I use to easily access the game controls always seems to cover the speaker, making it difficult or even impossible to hear the game. This is easily remedied by using earphones, but it would be a great feature if games added 180° tilt orientation.
